C&D Derringer again in a Falcon bantam dublin. Just chatted with my best friend of 53 years. My brother from a different mother! Happy Saturday!
SG Mayors Sams Flake in Christine while I wonder what the hell happened to English Rugby! I could perform better at 54 and with my fractured spine. Sorry to be such a downer but there’s only so much incompetence I can stand and England is playing some of the worst rugger I’ve ever seen.
Losing is OK, But playing badly is another thing, regardless the sport.

Sutliff Match Elizabethan in a pipe from the late great award winning North Carolina pipe carver Bob Hayes, a bamboo shank rusticated deep-bowled Dublin. Hayes did beautiful work and he sold me this pipe the last hour of the TAPS pipe show for a price I couldn't refuse. I thought I was hallucinating.

My first outdoor smoke (I’ve mostly been in my shed on weekends this winter. Typically I don’t get to smoke much in winter but with COVID slowing the pace of life in general I’ve really enjoyed weekend smokes) of the season - ‘07 Embarcadero in an awesome Jack Howell Rhodesian. Sunny, low 50s with a gentle breeze. Bliss. Listening to the soundtrack from the movie Chef - a great movie for cuisine lovers and killer soundtrack.61B286D6-4491-4B08-9A75-8BAC76A91A04.jpeg
