As the story goes, and as seen in the Grenada TV series with Jeremy Brett, Sherlock Holmes kept his pipe tobacco in a Persian slipper pinned to the mantelpiece above the fireplace
As we are told in 'The Musgrave Ritual,' 'The Naval Treaty,' and 'The Adventure of the Empty House',
"Although in his methods of thought he was the neatest and most methodical of mankind, he keeps his cigars in the coal-scuttle, his tobacco in the toe end of a Persian slipper, and his unanswered correspondence transfixed by a jack-knife into the very centre of his wooden mantelpiece."

Keeping with the Middle Eastern influence this is the kind of pipe that Holmes should have smoked

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, French cut pork chops and asparagus dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2018 Esoterica Blackpool in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Enjoying another visit with one of my college room mates before he goes back to Texas. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
