Winding down for the day enjoying a bowl of 20 year old Samuel Gawith's RB Plug in my favorite 5 1/2 meerschaum 'cutty' with a Redmanol stem and new meerschaum bowl plug. In honor of our late friend Haja I am still using the same Winn Dixie disposable lighter whilst enjoying a small brandy as a digestive to my evening meal. The dog is still not talking to me after my last post but tomorrow is a new day in dog world. Good night all. Keep safe and wash your hands and remember rose geranium essence kills Covid19!

Apropos of the conversation Brian Levine had with Phil Morgan, on last Tuesday's Pipes Magazine Radio Show, about old MM cobs still in use, I took out my first cob, purchased in the mid 1960s, that I hadn't smoked in over ten months, filled it with Nat Sherman's 536 English Empire and fired it up for a quiet, satisfying, evening smoke.

Now smoking Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Phone chatting with the fella who gifted me the pipe.
