Rationing this like the unobtainable pleasure it’s become. As it turns out, I have cellared blends that matter less. In search of that next best thing, I overlooked the best thing. I took it for granted. Sunday morning treat. My usual, Eight O’Clock coffee adding to the morning.
Sir John's Flake Virginia in a Moretti. I don't think there's a better value pipe on the market than Moretti. I've got several, they all smoke great.
Getting a great start to a beautiful Sunday morning with some Sweet Black Cherry Twist inna cob with morning coffee. Gave the twist some sun to dry it a bit, and added a pinch of very dry Amphora Virginia to aid combustion. It's working!

Got bought 3 pints of cask ale & given 3 cigarettes, smoked all my pipeweed now.

First time smoking C&D Epiphany; reminds me a little of 4th Gen Afternoon Melange. Pipe is a Savinelli Roma
Balkan Sasieni in a Charatan Selected Dublin w/machined rough-top and DC mouthpiece. My ugliest pipe, BUT, light weight, perfect length and height, smokes well. No visual appeal but well-balanced and good to handle and clench.

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed all the cats except for Daisy the Feral Princess. Gonna go look for her again after this is posted. Abner the Eager was under m'lady's car waiting for me. Looks like rain is on the way. Braves-Phillies game starts after the bottom of the hour.

Enjoyed a nice contemplative smoke of my Dark Sails mix in the Ropp J11.
And by “nice contemplative” I mean while swinging a mattock pick digging a 6” trench along the horse panels of our little paddock to set the chicken wire that’s supposed to keep bunnies out into the ground so it actually works. It was working folded at the ground (I let mama be lazy when she first put it on), but the horses are tearing it up on the part where mesquite beans drop over the rail.
I’m done for a while, it’s north of 100* and headed to 110*.
Septic lid turned out ok though.
