Part way through this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ohtani's not overly sharp so far.

I'm getting ready for the trip to NY for my uncle's memorial service. Packing things and trying not to forget anything. I cracked a tin of Early Morning Pipe, as it was one of his favorites. I tried it when I was younger and it didn't really appeal at the time. Honestly, I don't know what i was thinking. It's dynamite. So, I'm smoking some Early Morning Pipe in a small ring-blasted Dublin from Adam Sheehan at Carmette pipes. Dynamite!20250616_215823.jpg

Concluded a full day of ranch chores with a bowl of Sutliff 507-C VA Slices in a Stefano Santambrogio Rhodesian, paired with a glass of white wine. Talk about hitting the spot! 9/10

Bird report: House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, American crow, Steller's jay, California quail, Mountain chickadee, Western bluebird, Bushtit, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, and Mourning dove.

Eerily, I just found out that my own uncle passed away this evening, literally as I was typing this. So I suppose this bowl should be dedicated in his memory. 🙏

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a late '80s, early 90s small bend medium brown smooth, unbranded Nording pot with a couple of small rusticated spots, an amber colored acrylic ferrule and tapered stem in the military mount style.

Currently, I am half way through this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am at the last third of this bowl of year 2020 H&H Chatham Manor in a straight black sandblasted, smooth dark brown top bowl 2021 Jim Brown stack Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed all the ferals except for Daisy the Feral Princess. She stood near the back door and after three minutes of trying to coax her in, I gave up. She plays that "Maybe I will, maybe I won't" game too often. She'll give in when she realizes it ain't working. Abner the Eager is on top of my chair. Tomato the Brave is in the middle of the den playing with a cat nip sock. Harry the Hairy got jealous of Tomato, so m'lady's giving him a little play time to avoid trouble between the two.

Almost a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Butera Pelican in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted English Rustic 120S Billiard (Comoy’s second) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This pipe originally belonged to my college art mentor, the late professor Walter Barker.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am half way through this bowl of year 2000 SWRA in a straight smooth 2024 Peterson Red Killarney 264 Canadian with metal accents around the shank and a black acrylic p-lip stem. The tobacco is as moist as it would have been had I opened it in 2000, so I don't pack it tightly. Just spent a little time traffic copping feral feeding. After they ate, Daisy the Feral Princess, Harry the Hairy, and Abner the Eager went out even though it's still raining. Tomato the Brave is laying on his blanket. Getting ready to feed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. There weren't many box scores to read, so I'm doing other reading.
