Now smoking aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Going to clean a few pipes.
i didn’t date these tins of Capstan Flake blue. They have some age on them. Got shuffled to the bottom of a drawer. I don’t recall ever having smoked any. Doing so now in this cob. Sticking with Dr. Pepper.

Now smoking Wilke Gentry Royal Blend No. 2 in a black sandblast quarter bend undated Briarcraft (Dr. Grabow made) Wimbledon 810 author with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Three times, Tomato the Brave has wanted out, but each time he does, he hears the thunder and runs back in. M'lady played with him, but Tomato is bored being inside. He also knows that being bored is better than being soaking wet. Daisy the Feral Princess has been by my feet snoozin' for a while. Harry the Hairy won't come out from under the deck, and I have no idea where Abner the Eager is.

4th Gen 1855 in a Vauen Patina. For most blends I prefer the Vauen filters but these White Elephant cases are great for packing 9mm filters around.
GH Scotch Mixture in a Refberg "Profile" Straight Grain after a dinner of smoked brookie trout with a nice Austrian Gruener Veltliner to wash it down. Caught some more this past weekend and will fire up the smoker tomorrow.

Good day all! Spent the morning with Butera Pelikan in an Upshall P Lovatt. Followed this afternoon with Reiner Sweet Mystery in a sacrificial Charatan birdseye Poker with saddle stem (an interesting pipe I picked up 20 years ago from a Virginia doctor's collection allegedly left unstamped on the factory work bench when Dunhill took over in 1978).
Match Victorian, headed home.

Almost finished smoking 2023 KBV Roman Legion in a 1935 small, straight smooth dark brown Irish Free State K&P (Peterson) billiard with a silverish cap military mount and tapered black vulcanite stem. Dinner follows this smoke. Watching the Orioles-Rays game. Abner the Eager showed up, got dried off, ate, and is having a snooze.
