Nearing the bottom of this bowl (Kadath dottle and Amsterdam Shag), I find myself with two great questions:
One, does anyone make a halfzware in plug or ribbon cut?
Two, does anyone still make the Metropolitan 314? Cuz apparently it's a Nat Sherman blend, and I'd hate to pop this tin, love it and be unable to replenish my supply.
Next up, these three leaves of Samsun I grew.

Earlier, I smoked year 2013 Capstan Gold in a straight black 1932 Dunhill R double patent shell pot with a vernon tenon and a tapered black vulcanite stem.


And now, I just finished smoking year 2022 Sam Gawith Full Virginia Plug in a black sandblasted three quarter bend Made in Eire (1938-1948) pre-Republic Peterson 314 Shamrock military mount with a black vulcanite flared p-lip saddle stem.

Half way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Rain has washed out my walking reps today, but it didn't stop Abner the Eager from coming over to eat. I did a fruitless search earlier trying to find out if anybody owns him. If so, they aren't feeding him much because he's pencil thin. Unless he has worms. I can see he's not been neutered. As much attention as he wants, I doubt he's getting much of that anywhere.

Home after a great week working out of town. I met a fellow pipe smoker, and yesterday a woman walking her dog, Bam the Shih Tzu, admired the smell of my pipe (Granger).
Relaxing now with a beer, and GL Pease Navigator in the little Boswell, and cooking up some chicken butts on the grill.

Finished a Sonic the Hedgehog commission (I was a Sonic artist for 21 years), and have a third of a bowl left KBV Mr. Christian’s Kraken Plug in a post-1938 pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. If you’re interested in getting one, please contact Smoking Pipes and ask them to put this model back into production.
