Smoking some Sutliff's Vanilla Custard in a bent Stanwell. Nice and smooooth - and it gets rave reviews. Was smoking a little hard so I aerated it. Smokes like a dream now.

OMG…I could not smoke that stuff (Marlin Flake). No enjoyment for me there. Moved on to GH & Co. Scotch Flake in my Irena Sarova Squat Tomato.

I didn’t enjoy Marlin flake nearly as much as I thought I would either, couldn’t coax a real flavor out of it. What was your issue?

I thought the same first go around 3-4 bowls. I put it aside for a month, in same tin with provided lid. Revisited it and was pleasantly surprised. Try it in a fresh cob.

Had some C&D John Marr in the Flame Grain Meerwoodie, after replacing all the plumbing to the horses’ autowaterers. I had followed someone’s advice that poly drip line would be good, but after daily coupling failures three days in a row I just swapped out everything to sched 40 pvc.
“Get horses” they said, “it’d be fun” they said…

Oh well, back to work tomorrow for some R&R

Now smoking Sutliff States of Virginia Limited Edition ’23 in a small slight bend black sandblast 2000 D.R. Ardor Urano Ninfea author with a silver spigot military bit and a tapered black acrylic stem. This is the stoved Virginia only so I can learn how it tastes.

Any idea when those blends are set for release? How stoved is the stoved? I miss the extra dark stuff that was so common with Mcclelland.

I was on site working production for a music festival for the better part of a week, and didn't bring a pipe with me. First smoke back is a local stores vanilla/bourbon aromatic, called "Gentleman's Corner" in an Italian saddle bit billiard basket pipe I bought from the same store.
