Just finished smoking Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend.
Last smoke of the day is first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in an undated straight smooth brown Crosby Saint Andrews “Merchant Service-like Bing” with a silverish band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Reading while this bowl lasts.
Henri Comoy meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with full amber stem and 18K gold band. This is something of an oddity since reading the articles on Comoy they made a meerschaum lined briar pipe but I have never seen a Comoy full meerschaum 'cutty' pipe. It is difficult to date this pipe as it could be anything from the late 19th century to just pre-1914. I am smoking a bowl of Cannon plug that finishes up this sample I was kindly sent whilst I contemplate breakfast. Should I boil an egg or maybe fry it? These decisions are killing me but first another Espresso!
