Following it up with Brown Sugar Flake in a Great Dane egg. This is the first Virginia I’ve had in a long time and the first one I’ve ever liked. Don’t know if it’s because I’m learning how to smoke or my tastes are changing or something else.

P.S. been tearing all the softy bits off my pipes - anyone else suddenly get sick of these?

I use non-adhesive tape instead of softy bits. The tape protects the stem without having the uncomfortable bit on the end (although I was told putting the bit on backwards may help too).

Almost a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.
