Four weeks to the day I came down with Covid and things are finally starting to taste normal again. Celebrating with a bowl of Old Dark Fired in a Wiley. Hope to get back to the ancient Velvet comparison soon and post my thoughts.

Just finished a second 1/2 bowl of capstan Blue in my new Vauen Olaf Bent Egg. I understand the attraction to flake tobacco now. It lasts a long time if packed loose and smoked slow and rubbed out and dried first. I'll be getting more in future but maybe with less nicotine ! ?

I always love smoking my "bottom of the barrel" blend. I've never had any of those leftover mixtures let me down. Could be that they're always composed of blends I enjoy so all mixed up I still like them. Let us know how yours turn out.

Country Squire creates the Whatever blend in their shop as they fill orders. Any scant amounts from an order get put in the Whatever jar. They sell it at a great bargain.

I just finished that smoke. Very smooth, Lightly sweet with hints of Coco maybe some vanilla. A subtle aromatic, not overdone, but hey it’s not a blend it’s “whatever”, you gotta say it with an Italian accent for fun.
They included a nice thank you note as a first time customer- handwritten. I appreciate those types of personal gestures.
I called them this afternoon while I was smoking Whatever blend. Told him how much I liked the hand written note and how much I liked the Merriweather and Whatever blend I was smoking. He told me that it changes week to week. It’s kind of like Russian roulette with bulk tobacco.?
