Working remotely today, so I have the unusual chance to have a daytime smoke on a Friday. Going to have Wilke No. 515 in an E. Wilke NYC Squashed Tomato.
Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Almost time for Mad Dog Russo.
MB HH Pure Virginia in a SRV. If you like a medium, sweet Virginia Flake, you should be trying this. What I'm smoking now is 3 years old, it is superb.
Popped a NOS tin of John Cotton’s 1&2 from the first production run. Going to stuff this beautiful Juan Urquiza pipe for a 1 hour drive to an assignment.
Did a set of walking reps on this cloudy day, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Time for lunch!
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2014 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a smooth straight brown 1950 Dunhill 48 bulldog group 4 root briar with a black vulcanite fish tail saddle stem. Lavazza Perfecto, neat, is my drink. Watching the Cubs-Cardinals game.
Father Dempsay, first bowl. Latakia is sharp and fresh. Should mellow out in week or two. Nicely pleasant smoke. Funny thing is, I always notice something slimy in Irish breakfast tea and Irish whiskey. Also noticed it here. It's not really off putting. You could say "smooth", but not really. Like taking sip of really soft water.
