Thanks for the pic. ??Not difficult to see where the pointed conical spur came from but more difficult to understand the point of it on a briar especially without the ridge

@dino I enjoyed my 1792 Flake in a clay while wearing my redcoat uniform!You can call me HalfDino as I smoked my clay pipe filled with Gandalf and Hogwarts 1792 Flake, under the gazebo, on a lovely, warm and breezy afternoon.
Although not "re-enacting" the 200th. anniversary of the Greek War of Independence (1821), I wore my soft red fez in honor of those brave warriors.

I’m convinced! One sacrificial goat coming up..In keeping with a tobacco named Janus, the God of Thresholds (in the Roman pantheon), Janus separates what stinks from what is good. Hence in January we usher out the bad and welcome the new and good. Such is the task of the janitor guarding and removing stink from what is pleasant and good at the threshold. The ancients are alive and among us.?
