A quarter of the way through this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a straight smooth, dark brown patent era 1952 Dunhill Bruyere ODA apple 806 B124 with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Watching the Braves-Reds game that I DVR'd while being interviewed today.

Wrapping up a bowl of Uhle’s double aught in a Foreverstemmed Country Gent, and thinking about dinner. I’m solo this evening, but have a little red paramour de Bourgogne from yesterday evening that I bet will taste even better tonight when paired with some spur-of-the-moment charcuterie, kalamata olives, and chèvre. Bougie nights….

Regarding Uhle’s 00, is there a better nose in the world of burley today? An equal, yes. A superior, I think not.

As its the week-end and as I'm running out of one of my week-end smokes it's time to go to my limited stock of pipe baccy saved from the 1980s and open up one of my three favourites from that time:-

SULLIVANS SPECIAL MIXTURE (Sullivan Powell, Burlington Arcade, London, W1)

Now smoking Motzek (TAK) Virginia Cake in an undated straight black sandblasted Kevin Arthur brandy with a multi-colored accent on the white acrylic saddle stem. This pipe was originally owned by Sante “FishnBanjo” Guiliani. Working on a review of this blend as I watch the ball game.
