While I Zoomed, I smoked:
1960s Half and Half in a tan sandblasted paneled quarter bend 2001 Rinaldo Sahara 2 scoop with a pointed front and a tapered black acrylic stem.

Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

And am a quarter of the way through this bowl of a freshly opened tub of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in a 2018 smooth straight flame grain Basil Meadows Merchant Service "Bing" replica with an aluminum band and black ebonite stem.

Another patent lost in the mists of time . . . certainly different and presumably unsuccessful as this is the only pipe I've come across with this weird stem arrangement

" The M.P. Pipe" Patent #1717 stamped A.S.A. (unidentified) with marks for Birmingham 1901

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish and green beans dinner with peach slices for dessert. I'm almost a third of the way through this bowl of Drucquer and Sons First Amendment in a 2002 three quarter bend light brown sandblasted Ardor Urano Fatta A Mano eight sided paneled shaped bulldog sitter with a black acrylic saddle stem. Larry's Expresso #9, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Cards game.

SG Brown #4 in a Gresham Giant. This pipe shape may not be the most appealing, but it is near perfect. It clenches well and looking up or down, the pipe only moves slightly. The position of the bowl allows the smoker to smell the smoke from the pipe. View attachment 85218j
Great looking pipe in a shape that has been around since the tail end of the 19th century.
Originally known as an 'Oom (uncle) Paul' named after S. J. Paulus Kruger (1825-1904) ...

... but now better known as a 'Hungarian' and a very popular Peterson shape

" In 1898, Kruger’s friends ordered a Peterson Oversized Patent O.2 for his birthday with an engraved crest of the Transvaal on the bowl. While this was merely a special order (and not a gift from K&P), it caused a political publicity storm that was in newspapers around the world, many featuring a photo of the pipe in its clamshell case with its Gratis Pipe Tool and extra stem, no less."
