I got in a couple of tins of Smokers’ Haven blends, and am trying out a bowl of the Cognac Mixture in an unplastered MM Diplomat apple.
Ya, nice pipe, and bunch up some sticks with glue or screws in the yard for the aesthetic =) I like churchwarden's and that pipe looks great, I really like how Vauen keeps a wooden stemmed churchwarden practical with being able to break it down for cleaning. I do like a wooden stemmed bit more, but practicality does necessitate a longer lasting useful pipe with the lucite tips. Please report back how you like the pipe as a smoker. Bought 2 MacQueen's way back for a friend and I in the past (not workable really, they suck in the cleaning respect IMO), and I have been contemplating a Vauen wooden churchwarden for ... ??... 20 years? Being that they actually know pipes, I've always been interested.Well to be honest felt a bit embarrassed to order the matching stand, since it is so simple that I could have tried my non existing woodworking skills at it...
Had to look up bergs. I’m getting more and more edumacted on this forum! Now smoking Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a black sandblasted straight 1998 XXX Ashton lovat with a black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink on this hot and humid day.

Haven’t tried the mixture but LOVE the Flake. Nice looking GBD. Think I need to get some again. Sold all of my GBDs years ago but have a cool little Digby.2 year aged Erinmore Mixture from my GBD Unique Handmade in France 1/8 bent Canadegg? I think I like the mixture more than the flake.
I love the shape of that pipe and a lot of the old Grabows and Kays but never really found ones that agree well with me. Not sure if it’s the stingers or my general pipe snobbery. ?C&D Morley's Best in a Dr. Grabow Regal, with some black coffee.
Smoking my own blend of red and lemon flue-cured Virginias, air-cured Burley, and Brown Burley Cavendish I cooked myself, all from Total Leaf Supply. Pressed the whole leaves for 3 weeks, cut, shredded and topped with Bushmill's and vanilla. Jarred for 6 weeks, and it's really nice and smooth.
How do you find the tankards to smoke? Always admired them and they are so cheap!Rattray’s Exotic Passion in a Peterson Rustic Tankard with a P-lip.
wow.. that is a real crushing. I don't like any dents at all, but I guess I should be happy with the dented tins I have now.Erinmore Flake in a Tinsky Peterson 02 copy. Had Mark make this for me in 2000. Received a seriously crushed tin of Erinmore today so decided to smoke it. Forgot how great this stuff is! Oh, and retailer was AMAZING. Sent replacement tin almost before I pushed send on the email to them letting them know!
