A couple of minutes or so away from smoking Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight 1960s Lane era Charatan black with burgundy undertone sandblasted billiard 420 with a black vulcanite tapered stem.
Took a flake-break and packed up my large Kaywoodie Sabbiata (w/cool Blue acrylic stem) with some Backwoods Natural Buttered Rum ...kinda like the Twinkies of pipe tobacco: cheap, tasty, effective, and will probably stay good in the pouch until after the second or third nuclear world war.
Mc Baren Vanilla cream loose cut in the new Vauen Auenland churchwarden that came with todays Estervals delivery (ordered on Saturday.. arrived Tuesday). Let's see if I will really smoke this pipe or if it wil be mainly shelf-decoration....

Enjoyed a bowl of Solani 633 from around 2012. It actually dried out due to a faulty seal ( tobacco on the rim before closing ) on my mason jar and became strips instead of flakes. I added a few drops of distilled water and let it rest a few weeks. Tastes great. Much sweeter than I expected. Funny how this got sweeter and my Reiner Long Golden Flake got super spicy. I would have thought the opposite.
Smoking my own blend of red and lemon flue-cured Virginias, air-cured Burley, and Brown Burley Cavendish I cooked myself, all from Total Leaf Supply. Pressed the whole leaves for 3 weeks, cut, shredded and topped with Bushmill's and vanilla. Jarred for 6 weeks, and it's really nice and smooth.
