4th Gen Evening flake in a Savinelli Roma. This blend has been overpowered the past couple bowls with a vinegar taste that completely masks the tobacco. So this bowl sat on a piece of paper in the tobacco hutch overnight and it is much better. I don’t remember having this issue with the blend previously; it was purchased as bulk and put in a jar March 2024. Maybe the topping soured and just needs to dry off completely now? Not really sure. I remember it having a smooth creaminess that it doesn’t have anymore but the tobacco is delicious still.

Heard my neighbor mowing his lawn so I realized its time for me to mow mine as well.

Funny, that. Brings back memories of the last house i lived in closer to the city. I would bust out the lawnmower and about 1/2 way through my neighbor would come out, flip me off and then start mowing his lawn. Good times.

Dockworker in a Bellezia with horn this fine afternoon.

Not seen this one before. New aquisition? Nice indeed :) 👍👍
No it's actually my very first one. Wife bought it for me after having some bad luck with cheap basket pipes. It's been a great smoker. As far as new acquisitions goes, I got my eye on a few pipes but I think I'm going to wait awhile till I get anything new.

Unusual (for me) afternoon post. I'm currently puffing on a Colt's clone, a Captain Black Cherry Cigarillo, to make this post "legitimate." It's lovably raunchy and over the top, like it's pipe tobacco cousin.

Between you, me and the wall, I'm a little sick of cherry right now, and will be even moreso when you read Skippable Drivel below the hastily taken snap.

I went for a walk in my little private park an hour ago, and got a big surprise. Cherries and Saskatoon varietals are ready, and must be picked. My most willing friends and my sister are now on holidays, so Gord's gonna be a busy boy. Erratic and ephemeral for about a week, I'm afraid, as I pick, sort and process my "catch" which will be lasting about five days. After the cherries and Saskatoons, they'll be more as the other varietals will be ready, and in my usual anal fashion, will be picked and processed separately. No Skragg Bagg here, I'm afraid. I've just picked a full bucket of cherries, and now must sort and destem them before they go soft. Believe me, they are ripe and ready now, as you can see. Lookin' at about two hours, then about the same for freezing.

The walk was to test my flexibility and readiness for more activity, which I need because I'm tired of sitting around. Worst part wasn't the hernia, but my bum knees. Need the cane to do this, as without depth perception, I'm a clumsy one-eyed monster.

Glad I finished now. The thunder is rolling in and it looks like a bit of noise and hail about to rear it's ugly head. These little beauties are very tasty - sweet and sour, and make fine muffins. I'd compare them in spirit to the Captain Black fruity offerings. for better or worse. rotf 👍👍

Have a great Saturday. Will be back to touch bases a bit in the evening,
