Part way through this bowl of year 2023 H&H Viprati in a 2000s brown quarter bend sandblast Pierluigi 140 brandy military mount with a silver cap and a caramel acrylic saddle stem. Gave Molly Danger some attention, and she bathed my hand. Well, it is Saturday, ya know.

McClelland Yenidje Supreme from 2010, in a little Granhill Select that has become a favorite smoker for its pure taste. I like this pipe when I'm trying something where I really want to peg the flavors, especially more subtle blends. This tobacco is very good, but intriguing. Not multi-dimensional, just a lot of oriental character, a woody herbal (but not at all floral) essence, sweetened by the Virginias just enough to make it really, really enjoyable.
Now smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Tomato the Brave came in, ate plenty and wanted back out. The others are out.

A few years ago I made an experiment. I had a leftover of a Tuscany cigar, small sized and chocolate flavored (a "Toscanello Nero"). Instead of throwing it away, I chopped it and rubbed it and mixed it with some basic, bulk Virginia tobacco and made my own "cigar mix". I enjoyed it very much, so from then till now, I frequently reproduce this mixture and always like to smoke it, as I do now.
In a well known, best seller MM corn cob pipe, the "Dagner poker". But I've placed a longer stem because with the short one the pipe gurgled. I learned the trick by Scott from Aristocob, do you remember him? What a nice fellow! And his lady also. Friendly American people. Their business had super customer service! I sure miss them...

Found a bottle of Vino Nobile de Montepulciano this week when in the big city. Enjoyed a glass tonight with my wife, who discovered this variety with me, in Montepulciano, on our engagement trip in Italy following my proposal at Thomas Rules (oh so long ago--she said yes!). Pleasant reminiscing! It was our first 'favorite wine' together. It's been hard to find in these parts for the last ~20 years. We still like it! Hope to find more of it..

2022 G.L. Pease Union Square in the Micah Redmond handmade Volcano he made more for my birthday last year on another DND High Adventure. Also picked up this Briarworks low flame pipe lighter with pick and tamper built in.
Union Square is so good I may just sell off most of my other Virginias and stock up on it.

Now smoking year 2012 Butera Pelican in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted English Rustic 120S Billiard (Comoy’s second) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This pipe originally belonged to my college art mentor, the late professor Walter Barker. Watching the Orioles-Rockies game. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave just came in to eat. I'll take care of Harry the Hairy soon if he's hungry.
Recently finished deep cleaning this beat up old Medico VFQ. Now loaded with a freshly popped tin of Canal Boat.
Passing the last third of this bowl of year 2012 Virginia Spice in a 1979 brown grain etched Lane Era Charatan's Make medium bend calabash shape 483DC with a black vulcanite double comfort stem.
Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem.
