I really like how C&D approach their blends — it’s not just about flavors, but whole series with a concept behind them. You can really feel it in their Lovecraft line: when you smoke it, you get pulled into the atmosphere, and it makes you want to try the whole set. That’s pretty rare — when a tobacco isn’t just about taste, but feels like part of a story.I think the marketing guys at C&D have great imagination. Cross-Eyed Cricket? Who wouldn't want to try it?
It's like their Mad Fiddler, for me. Had to try it because I actually was given that nickname due to a particularly stellar solo violin performance of Stravinsky's "L'histoire Du Soldat" in my playing days. The fact that I actually loved the tobacco was a bit irrelevant - I'd have kept a tin on hand and display just because of the name.
Hats Off to the guys at C&D. They're at the top of their game!
