Enjoyed two big plates of spaghetti and meatballs topped with cheddar cheese and a big slice of cheese pizza for lunch. Dessert was a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream topped with chocolate and pecans. I'm near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink.

I was still hungry, so I had a bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins thrown in, and a golden delicious apple. I'm smoking Watch City Jim’s Golden Ticket in a straight smooth brown mid-late 60s Corporate Era Barling 5579 London England (made by Charatan) lumberman with a black vulcanite replacement stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. First time smoking this pipe which I'll dedicate to the blend that Ernie and I created. Naming the blend after me was Ernie's idea. Thanks, Ernie! It's an untopped, uncased bright and gold Va. with a small amount of Izmir. It'll go on sale before long.

A third of a bowl left of year 2019 Prince Albert in a 2020 smooth light brown, slight bent J. Everett straight grain chubby author with a spalted birch ferrule and a black saddle vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Had a fun chat with a good friend. Tomato the Brave was laying in front of the back door, and I let him in to eat. The other ferals are outside.

Yea I ordered it the day it came out (within the hour it got posted I think?) and he shipped it the same day. You helped him with this one? Nice job.
Thanks. In a short time, we came up with three blends though Ernie deserves most of the credit. Simply Gold was my idea, and it morphed into two extra blends that didn't quite fit the title of Simply Gold, but were good enough to stand on their own as worthy smokes under other names.

A couple of minutes away from smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight 1960s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Just got back from morning banking, Mass, and an afternoon of shopping. Feeling better each day but tastebuds are still antibiotic challenged, and really only suited to breaking in pipes, so the onslaught continues. and actually that's good because I have six pipes in that state.

Yesterday's break ins included the 4th Captain Black Dark smokes on both of these stellar smoking small pipes, the Ropp J06 and the Mr Brog Nosewarmer, this one in tan (have the same pipe in black, as well.)

They are being groomed for a bias of Dark Cavs, plain tobaccos like Smoker's Pride Whiskey, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish. I'm thoroughly enjoying exploring this (personally neglected) catecory of tobaccos. Leaving highly nuanced tobaccos for a future date when I can smoke them to advantage.

The Ropp will stay at home, and the Brog will be an outdoor/outing pipe. In a couple of days I'll smoke these again with different tobaccos, but as they are both briar, I'm not so worried about the heat factor as I would be with cherrywood, ash or pearwood.

I'll return later to catch up on emoticonning and comments, but right now I have to catch up on dishes, floors, and hanging my tobacco plants for curing. New seeds have been picked up by Josh, and are being planted in pots in his greenhouse.
