Just got back from morning banking, Mass, and an afternoon of shopping. Feeling better each day but tastebuds are still antibiotic challenged, and really only suited to breaking in pipes, so the onslaught continues. and actually that's good because I have six pipes in that state.
Yesterday's break ins included the
4th Captain Black Dark smokes on both of these stellar smoking small pipes, the
Ropp J06 and the
Mr Brog Nosewarmer, this one in tan (have the same pipe in black, as well.)
They are being groomed for a bias of Dark Cavs, plain tobaccos like Smoker's Pride Whiskey, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish. I'm thoroughly enjoying exploring this (personally neglected) catecory of tobaccos. Leaving highly nuanced tobaccos for a future date when I can smoke them to advantage.

The Ropp will stay at home, and the Brog will be an outdoor/outing pipe. In a couple of days I'll smoke these again with different tobaccos, but as they are both briar, I'm not so worried about the heat factor as I would be with cherrywood, ash or pearwood.
I'll return later to catch up on emoticonning and comments, but right now I have to catch up on dishes, floors, and hanging my tobacco plants for curing. New seeds have been picked up by Josh, and are being planted in pots in his greenhouse.
