Interesting looking pipe.....I just picked up this Tom Spanu Limone. If not necessarily attractive it is at least interesting.

It is made of lemonwood from his property and is marked “Limone” on the bottom of the stummel. This is the first time I’ve smoked a lemonwood pipe and I’ve got to say it performed very well.Interesting looking pipe.....
I know that Spanu was known for using a lot of different woods in his pipes and even growing his own briar. He used Olivewood, Lemonwood, certain oaks, etc.
Which is this made of? It looks like maybe the lemonwood.

I would be interested in how it "turns" and darkens as it is smoked and handled with time.It is made of lemonwood from his property and is marked “Limone” on the bottom of the stummel. This is the first time I’ve smoked a lemonwood pipe and I’ve got to say it performed very well.
The pipe is kinda fugly but I like it and the price wasn’t bad.

I’m thinking of grabbing the best made but still cheap one off Amazon to be the base to a trench digger I’m still working through in my mind.I've thought seriously about adding one of those quick hitch devices to my tractor. Keep us posted on the good, the bad and the ugly of having one.
