I just picked up this Tom Spanu Limone. If not necessarily attractive it is at least interesting.

Testing it out with some too dry for my liking Pembroke.

Interesting looking pipe.....

I know that Spanu was known for using a lot of different woods in his pipes and even growing his own briar. He used Olivewood, Lemonwood, certain oaks, etc.
Which is this made of? It looks like maybe the lemonwood.

It is made of lemonwood from his property and is marked “Limone” on the bottom of the stummel. This is the first time I’ve smoked a lemonwood pipe and I’ve got to say it performed very well.

The pipe is kinda fugly but I like it and the price wasn’t bad.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed my cats, and three ferals are eating. Haven't seen Abner the Eager yet. I have neglected to mention that I've seen Shy Stripesy for the last three nights after midnight. I suspected for three or four days before that, that it was coming here because the dry food outside was getting eaten too fast. That cat's still afraid of me, and after more than four years, I realize that will never change.

I would be interested in how it "turns" and darkens as it is smoked and handled with time.
Thanks for sharing.

Did a set of walking reps in the heat and high humidity, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. An off diet lunch is being made now. :)

I've thought seriously about adding one of those quick hitch devices to my tractor. Keep us posted on the good, the bad and the ugly of having one.
I’m thinking of grabbing the best made but still cheap one off Amazon to be the base to a trench digger I’m still working through in my mind.
I don’t have enough implants to make a QH feasible otherwise.
