Passing the last third of this bowl of year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Daisy the Feral Princess. Harry the Hairy has been snoozin' for hours in the same spot. The others are outside.

Greetings to all fellow pipe smokers and connoisseurs of the leaf! Another beautiful, hot summer day. Still breaking in my new Mario Pascucci – P Rust 2136 and sticking to a single blend — Robert McConnell Barking Road. I prefer to use just one tobacco during the break-in period to help build a consistent and clean cake. This way, the briar develops an even carbon layer without flavor shifts, allowing both the pipe and the blend to show their true character.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Have enough open stash for a smaller bowl. Ice water and bergs is my drink on this humid evening. Watching the Padres-D-Backs game. It's time for Tomato the Brave to eat, so I'll check on him after I post this. He's been in and out four times today, and twice got some play time with me. Abner the Eager didn't stay long, and I haven't seen him since. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' near my feet. Harry the Hairy is snoozin', and hasn't budged an inch in hours.

Now smoking year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit. Tomato the Brave ate, and after giving him a bit of attention, he wanted to settle down on his favorite blanket. The problem was that Harry the Hairy's been sleeping under it for hours. Tomato didn't like that and started a fight with Harry. I yelled at Tomato to stop, and he ran to the door because he knew that he was going to be put outside after misbehaving. Right after that, Molly Danger saw Harry, hissed him loudly, and then attacked him. I stopped that, picked up Harry, and gave him a lot of attention until he quite being scared. Harry found a safe spot in the bathroom, the poor fella. He used to be an aggressive bully, but isn't that often ever since he's been fixed and nurtured by us.

The wife and I drove up to Duluth from Saint Paul, today. Just a little day getaway. I smoked EMP in various pipes most of the day, except for one pipeful of half and half. I caught a good picture of the sunset on the way home out of the car window, while going down the road. Currently relaxing at home with some Robert Mcconnell Scottish Flake in a Peterson Donegal Rocky 68.20250707_210813.jpg20250707_231901.jpg

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem. As I passed the bathroom to get tobacco, I heard Harry the Hairy call to me. As I went in, he jumped on the sink counter for attention, which he got. The li'l fella wants love, food, and a safe place to be like all living beings. As I mentioned earlier, he's trying to get along with the other cats, but doesn't know how, nor have they forgotten how he once was. I have seen Harry and Tomato the Brave sniff each other's noses a couple of times in the last week or so, which to my knowledge, never happened before. Usually, Tomato would run from him if Harry got anywhere near him. Maybe it'll get better in time. What Harry really needs a home with no drama from other animals. Never have been able to find a home for him, though.
