Pegasus is one of Bob Runowski's most underrated blends.
A classic no-nonsense mix of burley, Virginia, and unflavored black cavendish - no topping, just honest leaf. Cool, smooth, and surprisingly nuanced. Less punch than Old Joe Krantz, but more refined and steady. A true everyday smoke from a master of traditional American burley blends.
Agreed. I've been hooked on all Rob Runowski's blends. OJK, HB, Pegasus, Riverboat Gambler. OJK Blue which is similar to Pegasus I think I like a little better than Pegasus. I prefer to have Perique in the blend. But those two are really good. Their good for cutting blends that burn too hot too. Like I love Bayou Morning ( another Runowski blend) but sometimes I get puffing too quick and it makes BM real hot, but if I add a pinch of OJK Blue or Pegasus to it. It taste the same but cools it down a bit. Just what I've found.

Just to add a little historical note for fellow VaPer lovers here: I once reached out to Jeremy Reeves asking about the origins of Bayou Morning Flake. I had initially thought Bob Runowski might’ve been involved, but Jeremy kindly replied that it was actually created by Craig Tarler back in 2006.
A nice bit of behind-the-scenes info from the C&D archives!

I read that Bob came up with Bayou Morning and it was Craig idea to make the Bayou Morning Flake. I dont know if that's true though, I don't know these guys personally so it don't really matter. I just know that everything Bob's made seems to be to my taste, a lot of peoples taste.

Here is the answer to my letter. Although on the other hand there is no big difference, the whole team of blenders still pleases us with their products.
