Greetings to all fellow comrades in aromatic smoke! Mario Pascucci – P Rust 2136 (no filter). Just got this beautiful Mario Pascucci in. It’s a light, well-balanced pipe with a natural rusticated finish, a conical chamber, and a horn accent band that really sets it off. The saddle stem is super comfortable, and the shape leans toward a poker—though with softer, elegant lines. Smokes cool and dry. Perfect for straight Va or Va-forward blends with a touch of Perique, Burley, or dark-fired Kentucky.
Mario Pascucci sources his briar from Tuscan quarries, personally hand-picking Erica arborea blocks at sawmills around Pesaro to ensure straight grain or prominent birdseye. Each plaque then ages naturally for 5–7 years before becoming a pipe, yielding a light, resilient briar that smokes cool and reliably. He pairs this with lucite (methacrylate) mouthpieces, each stamped with his signature “reflexed P,” chosen for durability, comfort, and the ability to hold elegant curves without fatigue. Running a few bowls of Robert McConnell Barking Road through this new pipe — a straight Va/Bur with no topping or casing. Ideal for a clean break-in and building a dry, neutral cake. Burns cool and steady, letting the briar speak for itself.
