We had an issue last year at the family cottage. There were ground nesting yellowjackets under the parking area. One day I pulled in, turned the truck off, found my hat, etc., and had the door just cracked open to get out when I looked up and saw a massive swarm in front of the truck and by the wheels. I closed the door, backed out of there and parked on the street. Nothing followed me, and I walked by the area (about 25 yards off to the side), there wasn’t much activity. That was fairly late in the summer, and as long as we avoided the exact 2 or 3 square feet over the nest, we had no problems. After the first couple of frosts we gave the nest about half a gallon of gasoline (yes, I capped and moved the gas can across the property; been there, done that before 🔥) and fired it up. After it burned for a while, we dug it up and smashed the rest of combs.

As a variation on the theme, try lighting the gasoline after you soak the nest. Been there and done that, too. Severely singed beard and some carbonized hair.

I often carry things on to wretched excess. 😂 cray

Another scorcher today. Got the back pasture bushhogged and took the horses to the vet so they could draw blood for updated Coggins papers.
Relaxing with some Wessex Virginia Plug (delicious) in my beautiful Bruno Ubbens Bing (thank you, @PaulRVA ).
My wife bought another type of sparkling water at the store. I don't care for it as it is too sweet. Gonna have to speak to her about that.......

Escudo in the Pete XL315 System.
After a few weeks open, this is tasting more like the "original" Escudo. Or whatever I was smoking in 2001-2010ish. I do have one tin from the mid 2000s that I should compare with this. But I have way too many blends I want to try. No time for back to back Escudo!!
Oh yeah, its raining like a freight train and thunder is booming while I sit huddled under my patio. But we need rain, so im kinda liking it. The cows are really liking it.
