Not exactly a ‘What are you smoking’ post, but thought you may enjoy and Canada Day relevant. My daughters sourced this old Rod and Gun in Canada magazine from 1911 and gave it to me for Father’s Day. Almost every picture has gentleman with pipes clenched. Great ads too.

Those were the good ol’days.
Tricky pose on that log! Wonder who took the picture? Good ol' days for sure!

PS LNF in a Yorkshire "Matched Grain" Apple.
This is one of two "matched grain" pipes I got from a friend whos dad owned these. There is this Apple and a Billiard that came in a case.
The pipes were unsmoked, but NOT unchewed!
The previous owner bought them in the 1960s to HOLD in his mouth while tooling around in his Midget convertible.
He never even put tobacco in them. :)
But he sure chewed the stems.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have a quarter of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink. Just finished cleaning a few pipes.
