Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and snow peas dinner with a bowl of French vanilla ice cream for dessert. I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a straight black 1925 Dunhill patent shell Canadian 33 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Just fed all the ferals after some traffic copping to make sure nobody pestered the other. Harry the Hairy is the main offender.
Some more Wilke... this time 515 Double Shot in a different Nording. Same good quality tobacco as 515 but with double the rum. Good stuff!

Today's smoke was delayed for over an hour due to a monsoonal downpour. No complaints though--brought the temperature down into the high 60s, and this should keep the pyromaniacs at bay for a good chunk of time (thank God).
Continued the VA theme undertaken by several others on here today, Mac Baren VA Flake in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s sandblasted bulldog. Very humid today, so I had to dry it extra...worked like a charm! 9.3/10
Bird report: California scrub-jay, House finch, California towhee, American crow, Steller's jay, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, Western bluebird, and Hairy woodpecker (no jokes, please).

Enjoyed a tasty red delicious apple, and smoked a bowl of Watch City SEPC McClouxgaroux 2023 in a mid-1970s smooth brown medium bend Ed Burak Connoisseur bulldog with an acrylic black saddle stem.
Now smoking Seattle Pipe Club Down Yonder in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
In a Rossi Vittorio Lumberman .... some McClelland's Blending Virginia.
Don't think I've seen any reference to this tobacco over last 4 (at least) months of WAYS. Have a tin dated 2008. Popped it 3 weeks ago to let it "breathe = oxygenate". TR's mentions its purpose as a blender, but also have comments how it's admirable alone. Will smoke it alone several times, then do some various blending experiments with Burley, Orientals, Perique. Only have one tin, so I'll savor it.

Brebbia Balkan. This is one fine English that has some really nice Perique and Kentucky notes in every puff. There is no Virginia listed, but there is plenty of sweetness. There is a fresh rain taste and smell to this blend. I love this stuff.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am a third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Dunhill Royal Yacht in a 1970s smooth brown slight bend GBD International 9665 dublin rough top sitter with a flat bottom and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
The dog is fussing over the cat, the cat is pretending not to care, and I'm enjoying my first taste of Eight State Burley. All is right in the world.
