Sutliff Balkan Sobranie 759 Match, following a Sobranie thread on Forums, in a MM/Dagner cob straight nose warmer with a silver-color band. Just a bowl or two left of this blend; it's been a good one. I have the flag out for July 4, made some bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon for breakfast with our coffee, and ran some take-out hot dogs, fries and Cokes for lunch. Unfortunately, there's news of a mass shooting in the town where my dad grew up on the north shore of Chicago; luckily my family members were away on vacation overseas, but it brings the whole shooting mania closer to home. In grade school, I spent a week or two several summers with my then-widowed grandma in the paternal family home, a quiet place with church bells ringing out the time. I know well Central Avenue where the July 4 parade was the site of the massacre.

Smoking Five Brothers mixed with Two Timer, 50/50, in a Sav. Coconut Drinking a Coke and waiting for the Rays-RedSox game.
Well now that sounds interesting. I have plenty of Five Brothers, and the other day I noticed I have a forgotten tin of Two Timer in my cellar. Any reason you mixed them? I suppose the Two Timer would make the bowl last longer, and the Five Brothers would give the Two Timer a set of brass knuckles. I'm going to have to try it.

Feel upset after getting verbally bullied again; seems to be happening more often now:-(
I'm sure "F@#* off" and "A**hole" are Chesterfield response to "Hey up"...
An alien landing here would think everyone talks like that...
There seem to be a group of people who have been in prison and think that bullying a weak person makes them look hard...
Had to contact the police today.
Only good ? thing about Chesterfield is it's easy to get out of...
A lady I met who spent some of her younger days in Africa says it's worse here than it was there despite Africa's western image...
Sad to hear. England used to be admired for manners and decorum.

When and by whom? I did a UK tour in 1992 and it may as well have been Brooklyn for all of the swearing and general rudeness.
I have no idea when it changed—perhaps as the WW2 generation died off. Of course, the image of country is not necessarily congruent with the reality. For example, I don't find Brooklynites any ruder than people from the Bronx.

The most peaceable lot I ran into were helping me kill some Ale in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks.

Nearing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2022 Wessex Burley Slice in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Working on a revised review of this blend. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
