Got home last night from Madison, WI where we had a great visit to the campus and a pleasant trip all around. It was good to see where my baby girl is planning to live for the next few years and while I never considered being a Badger fan, it looks like I'll now be giving it a shot. Being from Kansas originally and a Jayhawk fan (sorry @Tar Wheel I know that last tournament game stung) and having lived in Minnesota for the last 30 years, this is going to take some getting used to.

I'll be sitting here smoking some Capstan while pondering these changes.

Hey troublemaker, glad you‘re back. ?

We just finished up with my daughter’s college experience in December. Seems like it was just yesterday that we were moving her in to her dorm room. Now I have a college grad back under my roof, while she’s working at a Physical Therapy Clinic, trying to build up hours for P.T. School. It all passed by in the blink of an eye.

Be prepared for a different child to return home. I remember thinking, “who is this person and what did you do with my daughter?”, the first time she came home for an extended break. Major changes in thinking and philosophy.

Congrats to your daughter on starting this exciting new chapter. I can feel the pride in your post. Go Badgers!

Oh, and thanks for ripping that National Championship scab right off. My only consolation is knowing that the footprint on Coach K’s ass has a Tar Heel logo on it. Go Heels!

……and since this is the WAYS thread, I’m smoking Anthology.

Cheers!

Starting the morning with SPC Plum Pudding Special Reserve.

Was inspecting the Savinelli and the mortise is kind of rough at the bottom, just before where the draught hole is drilled, in a stepped-down section and I'm wondering if that's why the pipe was sour from the second time using it on. Trying to think of how I can safely smooth that out as I really need that pipe to be functional if I'm going to be an all-day gradual smoker.

Got in a surf this morning, and thought I'd just have a little work to do -- but came back to a few client needs. So I'm having a bowl of Fr. Dempsey (I happened upon the old thread about it this week) in my Viking -- Id say this is my most "go to" combination. Nothing too fancy but I know what I'm going to get -- and that I'm going to like it. (Side of coffee, too.)

Hope everyone's work weeks (for those in the M-F grind) wind up nicely, quickly and happily.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have about a third of a bowl left of C&D Sun Bear Black Locust in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic stem. Just about finished with a review of this blend, and am still working on the latest Sun Bear Mountain Flower blend.
