I didn't end up smoking that EMP all at once, smoked quarter of the bowl, then just puffed the rest of it throughout the day until now, bowl ended up slightly wet, pipe set aside. Although, it's been 3.5 hours since I woke up and no need for a cigarette yet, and as a pack-a-day smoker, I would have had 4-6 by now.
Now this afternoon, some GLP Quiet Nights I picked up yesterday at the B&M that had a tin date from 2 years ago in the Savinelli 315 KS. I will probably smoke this bowl all the way in one sitting, hopefully my other pipe will be dry enough to reload by the time I am done with this. Though I may just smoke this periodically the rest of the day as it's been 15 minutes since I started making this post and it's having a hard time staying lit with this humidity (and just now it has begun to rain, so it'll only get worse).
Meantime, hunting a large enough piece of "thin stock" mahogany with which to build my pipe stand as I have figured out the most versatile shape for holding the pipe bowls (far right, basic half sphere), at least of the pipes I have. Though I'm having a bit of a hard time finding reasonable mahogany at 1/2" thick. Nobody locally carries hardwood, let alone fine furniture hardwood, and the only place I found online so far with 1/2" mahogany in a large enough piece has some thing up about being on vacation for a few days, but based on the site, hard to tell if that's accurate or old news and they forgot to take it down. Plus, it's hard to decide to pull the trigger as I don't know how it's sawn or the kind of figuring (would rather see it first).
