Checking in on some LBF from 2019, using a Savenelli 614. It really started to turn the corner in both taste and color after 2.5 years. Looking forward to seeing what another year has done for it.
First pipe was so nice I'm being "bad" and just re-filling. I haven't kept my EMP super well, so it is a bit dry and the first pipe was quicker than I expected. (I've since improved my storage containers.)
Cleaned some pipes, watched Mad Dog Russo, and am not far from finishing this bowl of SWRA in a straight, black sandblasted undated Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight apple 551 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Lunch follows this smoke.
Just got this in today. Giving it a go and as of right now its on the verge of being a little too close to a swisher sweet for my liking. Its only saving grace is the quality tobacco that are still somewhat present in the background. Tin came in a little drier than I'd expect an aro to be but considering the packaging...
I use to have a Regimental pipe myself. The same model. What a good smoker it was.
@Severus I've smoked a few packets of St Bruno Ready Rubbed in my clay pipes; a good traditional pipe baccy so well suited to clays.
Saving the Pirate Kake for the Pirate Mutiny at Matlock Bath next month; I can't smoke Latakia all the time...

Just returned home from an eye exam. My pupils are still dilated at the moment, so I’m just going to keep my eyes shut and smoke this bowl of Ennerdale on autopilot.

The first time I tried this, my palate was btfo and it didn't quite taste right, like straight wood chips or something. Today, tastes much better after palate reset, getting more of that herbal/floral aspect I love so much from burley blends.

Just mowed my mostly dead lawn at the request of my lovely wife and now I’m sitting down for a bowl of Dunhill Dark Flake in an Ashton.
Half way through this bowl of year 2018 Solani 633 in a straight 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem.
Good morning colleague’s, very dark, wet, cold day ahead I think. I can‘t see outside yet but I can hear the rain and wind. Loading up the Poul Winslow pot with some EMP to accompany my coffee whilst I wait for some daylight.
