Cheeky lunchtime bowl - Savinelli 140th Anniversary Blend in this gorgeous Tsuge Ikebana:

There's an element in this blend I can't really place my finger on but I really enjoy it, compliments the virginia's and orientals very well.

And here's a pic of the front side of the pipe with all her glorious grain.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am closing in on the half way mark on this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gevalia Columbia Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Going to have Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding in a GBD Table Pipe. Unfortunately, I don't have the original hose. I bought some silicone tubing, outer mesh, a variety of ebonite stems to fashion a new one—I also picked up a short bicycle pump hose that is cloth wrapped to get closer to the look of what the original probably was. However, I was recently looking at Merchant Service Pipes and stumbled across their Table Pipe and saw that they offered a cloth wrapped hose for sale separately that was three feet long. A longer hose than the bicycle pump one would give me more freedom while working at the computer, so I ordered that. I used an ebonite stem with a slim tenon that would fit inside the hose and recently got a metal Peterson Condenser for Premier System and Deluxe System Stems for the end that plugs into the GBD (rather than waste time grinding down an ebonite stem to fit). The original GBD piece was probably not metal, but, the Peterson Condenser fits the hole pretty nicely and looks cool. Since @mtvernon expressed interest in an MS Table Pipe, I figured it was a good time to smoke my GBD while doing some typesetting and share a photo. I was going to bend the stem, but, I opted to leave it straight for more of a hookah vibe.

Wow. Good stuff my friend TheIronMonkey. I'm hallucinating, with that original pipe.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Wessex Campaign Dark Flake in a smooth dark brown medium bend year 1924 Dunhill 136A double patent apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. There's something truly awesome abut smoking pipes of this and earlier vintages. It really enhances my smoking experience and reminds me of how lucky I am to own pipes like this. The man responsible for this knows who he is, and I am forever in his debt.

Really, a beautiful and very elegant pipe. Before, I did not appreciate smooth pipes so much, with time, I have discovered and opened my eyes, to appreciate pipes with smooth finishes. Good for you, dear friend Jim.
