A tryout of GL Pease Navigator in an Upshall sandblast Bulldog with hex shank and smooth rim with saddle stem size 4. Very nice - quality Virginias pressed, aged, with a little rum that's just noticed and contributes a pleasant sweetness (eight months jarred).

I put a little beeswax on mine, I’m not sure how true this is but I’ve been told that clay can cause lip cancer. That said what the Fxxk doesn’t these days.

Thanks for the tip @Birddog66. I’m pretty sure my wife has a tube of Burt’s beeswax chapstick in one of her drawers. I’ll give it a shot.

About a third of a bowl left of C&D Burley Ribbon Cut in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted Comoy's Silver Cloud 624 square shank sitter with a silver pearl gray acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink on this hot and very humid day.

I have some that came with that already on the stem. The ones that didn't have a coating I used nail polish. Some also use a thin wax coating / chapstick, etc.

Thanks @CoffeeAndBourbon. I’m going to give the chapstick a try first. Nail polish will be the backup plan.?
