Part way through my last smoke of the day, which is D&R Windsail in a straight smooth brown pre-1920s W.D.C. Bakelite bulldog with an electro silver band and tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit. Have just a little more work to do.

@Birddog66 I like the artwork on the Troost packet with the Cavalier / Redcoat figure and the clay pipe!
What's it like to smoke?
If that was mine I'd save it for wrapping my clay pipes or loose Gawith Hoggarth!
It is a cool picture on the packet, I was enclosed with a pipe I brought on eBay, which was a very nice surprise. It’s a Cav blend with a light fruit topping, not something I thought I’d like but it’s actually quite nice. I think it might be a fairly old package due to the lack of the portents of doom that usually dominate the artwork.

@Birddog66 I'll be re-using the leather pouch you sent me for my loose Gawith Hoggarth pipe baccy; more appropriate for re-enactment events, reducing my plastic waste and helping the environment!
Since joining the Don Catchment Rivers Trust I've become more conscious of plastic pollution; I've been getting my empty plastic bottles refilled at a local zero waste stall on Chesterfield market and collecting non council accepted items for recycling through Plastic Free Chesterfield!
I might get a rope lighter to further reduce my plastic waste as I'm always finding discarded single use lighters - sometimes I get ones that still work!
I'm thinking of only buying loose pipe baccy now and stopping buying the packeted blends except occasionally - and I re-use the empty packets for wrapping my clay pipes!

@weezell, is that a coating on the stem of that clay? If so, do you mind telling me what it is? I’m getting tired of ripping the skin off my lips while smoking a clay.
I put a little beeswax on mine, I’m not sure how true this is but I’ve been told that clay can cause lip cancer. That said what the Fxxk doesn’t these days.

Nice one Dan, unfortunately most loose baccy comes in plastic too, I reuse them for sending samples. Tins are the way to go if you’re not buying large amounts. SG & GH both sell their best sellers in tins.
