So I picked up 8oz on the first release last year and it's been sitting in a jar since. Cracked it last night to try out, dried it out for half the day to a pretty good crisp state........this stuff just didn't want to burn or stay light for me worth a damn. How do you prep it?

I dumped it out maybe half way of frustration and packed a bowl of Daughters and Ryan TAPS VIP. Much more enjoyable, regret not stocking up on it when it was available.
I had a one year old batch of 150th that came very dry and never encountered a lighting problem. I purchased another paint can a few months back and have noticed doing more relights. ”Nuking” a flake for about 12-15 seconds (depending on atmospherics) and letting it rest for at least 10 minutes more alleviate some of the burn issues. The flavor of this VA is so outstanding that, I am more than willing to “endure” relights.

I do a mostly cube cut and rub out a little finer over the top. And, yes, this is a blend that tastes great crunchy.

Elsa decided that I needed a half day off. Who am I to say no to that?! I’m taking advantage of the extra time with Eight State Burley in a MM Legend. 75 degrees with 85% humidity on the porch this afternoon. Looks like @FurCoat is getting drenched in his part of the state.
Man did it rain. Luckily not much wind. It's going to be muuuugy tomorrow.

The weather cooled today. My wife and I took advantage and spent the morning and afternoon under the gazebo, she repotting plants and me, doing the Tribune crossword.
After a luncheon snack of juicy nectarine and plum slices, I had cut for her and me, I had a big bowl of one of my mixtures (Sutliff 515 RC, Gandalf and Hogwarts Cyprian Latakia, and D&R Ramback), in my 1988 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Smooth Original. Life is good!
