Happy 4th of July.
After a long day at a beach resort city (Wildwood, NJ) where obviously I did not get an opportunity to smoke a cigar or a pipe, I am back home and it’s Cigar Time - Caldwell Cigars Eastern Standard Sun ? Grown

Half way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem.

Worked all day and came Home to put food on the table, have a quick zoom meeting, then back to work. First pipe of the day at 10:30pm finishing a bowl of McClelland bulk something or other that I began yesterday. "Absque sudore et labore..."

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2015 Sir Walter Raleigh in a 1922-38 Made in Ireland Peterson Dublin 3 straight smooth dark brown bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Now smoking well aged Bald Headed Teacher in a medium brown, smooth octagonal paneled bowl and shank, medium bend 2016 Tim West Book Keeper 6 with a black acrylic saddle stem.

I've just finished with some Seattle Pipe Club Plum Cake Special something or other in a MacArthur cob. It was extremely yummy.

Bought Red Rapparee about a month ago and didn't have a particularly good experience with it. Pretty sure it was too wet straight out of the tin. I put about an ounce of it in a regular plastic food container and had another go at it this evening. A far more enjoyable experience. Glad I got a 100-gram tin.

A third of the way through this bowl of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega military mount with a nickel band and a black vulcanite stem with a p-lip. This will finish my smoking day.

Early 20th century economy CCC HAND MADE / GF (unidentified) and faux silver marks stamped on the ferrule + McLintock ORANGE DREAM

As BBB was very protective of their trademark and litigious the similarity between the CCC logo and the BBB logo is surprising unless there was a relationship between the two companies.
It has been recorded that in 1887 BBB sued a small competitor named Hopkins & Co when they started selling product with a logo consisting of a diamond with 3 Rs in it.
