I got this rather unusual Barling today, it’s signed Barling, London England, but aside from that there’s nothing else on it. No model number and the stem is blank too, no Barling cross. I’ve scoured as many Barling shapes that I could find as did the seller but to no avail. The seller thought it might be a prototype but I got it because it’s exactly the same shape as a Dr Grabow Commodore that I’ve been looking for. I’m wondering if the shape was copyrighted and Barling was unable to reproduce it. I’d be very interested if any of you guys have seen another like it. The seller also image.jpgimage.jpgincluded a packet of Troost which I thought was very kind of him.

Ok the oven is on at 70*C and I’m waiting to put in a sealed tin of Escudo and some Gold Leaf that I’ve put in a Savinelli tin. I’m looking at a three hour stove that was recommended, I’m not sure how the Gold Leaf will fair in a tin that’s been opened but I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
In the meantime I'm going to have Miss River Rum Barrel in this lovely little BC Belami Canadian that was gifted me by @simong. image.jpg
