Hi Paul. The Criollo variety is grown here up next to the border with Brazil and is used a lot in making cigars as well as twist tobacco. It has a very intense flavour so probably not one for the beginner. I like it a lot but try not to smoke it too regularly.
Smoking some of it the now.

Now I know I can't be the only one that glanced at this picture and thought...yes you are thinking it too.

Started the day with Reiner Long Golden Flake (#71) followed up by Solani Silver Flake (#660) with the usual cup of black coffee.

The afternoon was Wessex Gold Brick, all smoked in the Radice Rind Billiard.

I have to rise early so am wrapping it up before the evening arrives with C&D Lunchtime Blues in a J.M. Boswell Black Coal Billiard accompanied by some unleaded coffee.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon, mushrooms and sugar snap green peas dinner with Dutch chocolate ice cream and strawberries for dessert. I'm about half way through this bowl of aged Troost Slices in a smooth unfinished brown slight bend 2015 Savinelli 320KS author with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'm going to save the rest of this terrific gift for a rainy day.
