Happy and prosperous new year, everyone. I'm starting the new year smoking an MM Cobbler, with mb# virginia flake, locked in my room, trying to capture the nuances of the smoke, to see if my sense of smell has improved at all. God bless you all.

Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and smoking year 2018 D&R Raccoon’s Accent in a pre-WWII straight smooth brown The Lumberman Special (Comoy’s) with a tapered black vulcanite saddle stem. Daisy the Feral Princess was snoozin' by my side, and when I got up, she followed me because she wanted to go out. The other two ferals are inside.

Good morning! A little breezy but still, a gorgeous start to the new year! A much more civilized 50F this morning! I am grateful beyond words for all the blessings of 2025. Today, I’m reminded of a certain Sergeant Major who was the source of all wisdom. “Boss, there’s a reason this rear view mirror is so much smaller than this windshield. Get your head on right.” Every morning I take a few minutes with my coffee, burley, cob to do just that.

We had a covering of snow last night to start the year. I am doing, as always, starting the day with a Molina Billiard with Milan's "our" Prince Albert with a cup (or should I say pot) of dark roast coffee.
