Happy and prosperous new year, everyone. I'm starting the new year smoking an MM Cobbler, with mb# virginia flake, locked in my room, trying to capture the nuances of the smoke, to see if my sense of smell has improved at all. God bless you all.
Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and smoking year 2018 D&R Raccoon’s Accent in a pre-WWII straight smooth brown The Lumberman Special (Comoy’s) with a tapered black vulcanite saddle stem. Daisy the Feral Princess was snoozin' by my side, and when I got up, she followed me because she wanted to go out. The other two ferals are inside.
PS Luxury Navy Flake in a no name straight meer apple. Frosty outside, so I haven't ventured as yet. Wishing all the ability to achieve contentment in each and every bowl you smoke for the New Year!
Good morning! A little breezy but still, a gorgeous start to the new year! A much more civilized 50F this morning! I am grateful beyond words for all the blessings of 2025. Today, I’m reminded of a certain Sergeant Major who was the source of all wisdom. “Boss, there’s a reason this rear view mirror is so much smaller than this windshield. Get your head on right.” Every morning I take a few minutes with my coffee, burley, cob to do just that.
Happy New Year everyone. My first smoke of 2026 is Peterson Irish Flake in a small Kaywoodie White Briar 95B pot shape. I’ll be enjoying this combo several times throughout the morning.
We had a covering of snow last night to start the year. I am doing, as always, starting the day with a Molina Billiard with Milan's "our" Prince Albert with a cup (or should I say pot) of dark roast coffee.
Coffee, burley, cob. And all my smoking paraphernalia on my new-to-me little table that my wife got for me, with the chickens being nosey in the background.
