Had a light, low calorie snack, and am smoking year 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth burgundy medium bend 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Smokes as well as a first and worth the $19.95 I paid for it all those years ago. Every time I have gotten out of my chair the past two hours, Harry the Hairy gets on it. He's not very happy when I move him out, and looks at me with a "Those non-furry people are too bossy" look. Enjoyed an excellent interview with writer Robert Schmuhl about his book "Mr. Churchill in the White House" on C-Span3. And Tomato the Brave is by my side now.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am half way through this bowl of year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a straight, black sandblasted pre-1970 Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight Liverpool 309 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. It's 50/50 as to whether or not I have another smoke before bed time.

Today is my 28th wedding anniversary (half my life!), so I am breaking out a special occasion pipe. The weapon of choice today is a Sasieni One Dot (top) Patent (shape 30). This was one of the very 1st pipes made by Joel Sasieni back in the early 1920s. I want to choose a blend worthy of it, so it’s a 2016 Reiner Long Golden Flake.EDFBC7F8-FFF6-4D71-8DE4-DF6A81685C23.jpeg
