Thanks man. $60 on eBay and it had only been smoked twice. Too good to pass up on a $120 pipe. How do you like the 1792?
Eh, it's alright.

Truly, it comes down to smoking style. I almost exclusively smoke C&D, and generally speaking my C&D blends "like" to be smoked a certain way. So when I step outside that house I need to adjust, and can/do. But it's not my speed, and that's worth acknowledging.

I sold off a bunch of Marlin Flake for this reason. Delightful stuff that, to me, feels like a fuss to smoke. But someone who loves 1792 may find Pegasus (or Exclusive, or whatever) to burn funny, for them

Half way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Deciding on whether or not to chance a set of walking reps before the snow hits.

Ok yeah I am not a daily smoker of non C&D flakes for this reason. There are some that are less fussy than others but it’s funny that you say that about Marlin Flake. It’s one of the only tobaccos in my cellar that I’ll likely sell off as well. Based on what you post we have VERY similar tastes in tobacco.
