HH Burley Flake in a Savinelli 506 Antica along with a thermos of Earl Grey. The remaining four 3.5 oz. tins that I have will now be rationed out to half a tin per year. I really enjoyed the minimally topped HH line and will need to forget it soon enough, but not too soon. I'm sure there are some close approximations out there for Burley Flake and Old Dark Fired. One a side note, I have discovered that I much prefer dark fired in hot weather.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have passed the first third of this bowl of year 2000 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Looks like tomorrow will be an off diet day. Sleepy Suzy has been by my side all day, but when I get out of the chair, she takes over. When I prepare to sit back down, I have to move her to the side or on the arm of the chair. She always complain like an old woman when I do that, but she always gets a head scratch and purrs like a kitten.

Twelfth Night (by our reckoning), the Holy Days are up and the decorations are down, the tree, a living presence in the house since Christmas Eve, stripped and gone. Always a sad time for me, but cheered somewhat by re-reading, as I remove them, the cards from family, friends and two not-so-secret Santas...and by a smoke of Peter Heinrich's 9-year-old Strong Dark Flake from one of them (cheers, mate!) in this Meerschaum-lined Orlik.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

Currently, I'm half way through this bowl of year 2013 Esoterica Tilbury in a smooth medium bend 1999 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. It's been a busy day.
