I'm having some fantastic smokes lately . . . kind of all coming together. Last evening was the best smoke I've had with my
meer, biased for Orientals. Loaded it with
Steamworks, one of the best of the bunch, and had a truly wonderful smoke. The pipe is coming along now, and like a fine stereo system, is clinical and accurate in rendering the nuances. With orientals, this is a must.
Additional comment to note here: I've had a lot of trouble with tongue bite. Well, no more. I checked out some old posts on the subject, and on this post the Cap suggested Biotin. Bought some Biotin Gummies, chew three or four a day, and presto, no tongue bite.
However, I've really more of a problem with lips than tongue. If others have the same trouble, try coarse grey unrefined Celtic sea salt. Put a half dozen or ten grains in your mouth, swish them around a minute or two, and in a couple of days your lips will be better. I've installed lip guards as well, and with these hacks I'm pretty much back on the ground I want to be. I've always had sensitive skin, and unfortunately it has manifest noticeably in my senior years. These hacks and moderation (hahahahaha) are apparently the key.
