Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of 2017 Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 Peretti's M.T. Natural made in Holland straight smooth brown Algerian briar billiard with a tapered black acrylic stem. This blend is the only one I've smoked in this pipe. That's a very comfortable feeling. Didn't finish cleaning pipes, but I will now.

Burley Flake #2 in a MM Diamondback. Watching some old WWF matches. Kind of reminds me of the recent @jbfrady Tobaccomania 2. There were foreign objects, epic finishing moves, charismatic characters, steroid and possibly cocaine-fueled rage, and ultimately an untimely disqualification which resulted in everyone leaving the show entertained but a little disappointed. But the PM Forum powers that be succeeded in creating a new heel that was all too easy to despise.20250129_204042.jpg

Time to crash. Not staying up for the European crowd tonight. Bushed.

Finished the evening with a great bowl of Mad Fiddler in my Ropp J16. Same stellar league of smoke as I had yesterday with Black Frigate and the J05.

Not posting a picture because I'm packing up the computer and will be signing off for a day or three while the new distro is being installed. Besides, you've all seen a tin of MF and a J16 on this day of posting.

Just too many glitches and problems with the current out of date distro - and security problems. But you've all heard these whines before. And been there before. Cheers.

Trying out Borkum Riff Mixture With Bourbon Whiskey for the first time tonight, in a Falcon twister.

I've read a lot of rather scathing reviews of this blend, but my initial impression is that it isn't bad tasting at all... because it simply doesn't have enough flavor to taste bad. In fact, it doesn't taste like much of anything! I can taste a little hint of stoved Virginia, but that's about it. This might be the most mild tasting (or in less kind words, flavorless) blend I've ever smoked, to the point that it kind of makes 1-Q seem like a flavor bomb.

The pouch I bought was a fresh one from SmokingPipes and the tobacco inside was quite moist, so it wasn't like it was old and dehydrated, but I can hardly pull a darn thing from this stuff flavor wise. Maybe it'll improve after a couple weeks in a jar? 🤔

My last bowl of the evening.
Dunhill Durbar in one of my favorite pipes, a Shalom billiard. It's the only pipe I own from Israel, and I believe the only one I've ever seen. It's beautiful (the grain doesn't show up in the photo), is light as a feather and smokes wonderfully.
