Good morning, all.
Just cracked open my one and only cellared jar from 2020, 78g of Full Virginia Flake. I had to sell away many of my jars and tins from my earlier pipe smoking days, but I expect smoking through it to be as rewarding as it felt to finally pop it open, which is to say very much so.
I’ve had many vintage tins and tobaccos much older and much rarer than this, but this one to me means the most. I think. I’ll mull it over many, many pipefuls over these next few days, and then many more after that stuffed full from a 100g tin of Marlin Flake of the same vintage.

Getting over my aversion to burley (since I like strength, and bulk, and C&D does burley well) with Haunted Bookshop in a Ropp J07.
I couldn’t stand HBS when I started, but decided to revisit with some experience under my belt (and it was the best choice of three 1oz samples offered at my last purchase)-gotta say ,it’s growing on me.

Sir John's Flake Virginia in an Altinok. Water rinsed this pipe thoroughly ten minutes before smoking it. Smoking great.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Just fed all the ferals while m'lady is feeding Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
It's amazing how many of our workspaces look alike, eh? Computers, a disparate array of pipes, cups, papers, baggies, jars of tobacco, bowls, etc etc etc hastily cleared up for a snapshot for the forum! Love it, And that is one stellar pipe!
