I’m a bit confused because I am now sure of a nic hit but I didn’t recall that when smoking this blend fresh. Anyway I’m enjoying it and will probably dedicate the Arklow 304 to the Falcon.
Great idea. I've found my smoking pleasure increased tremedously when I began to dedicate specific pipes to specific tobaccos, or in some cases, genres of tobacco. Hint - don't smoke aros in pipes dedicated to lat.

Five Brothers is some powerful leaf. View attachment 365554

I sure hope so, and I'll be disappointed if it isn't! Before I went on the lightweight aromatic kick this past week I was smoking quite a bit of 1792 Flake, Kendal Dark, Brown Bogie, and War Horse so my usual stance on nicotine in pipe tobacco is, "What's the strongest stuff ya got? Okay, I'll take that then." 😅

Strangely I've never gotten around to trying Five Brothers though, and some plain unadulterated Burley has been sounding good so I'm gonna give it a try!

Haha, 1792 will do that to you and just proves the point that its not the best blend if it makes you feel like shite :ROFLMAO:

I will admit to feeling rather ill the first few times I smoked 1792 just from the high nicotine content, before I was used to dark strong blends, but you build a tolerance to it pretty quickly and before long you go from feeling like you're gonna toss your cookies and crap your pants to just feeling really relaxed and satisfied. There is a definite and rather gastrointestinally challenging learning curve though! :ROFLMAO:

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2020 Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem.

First try of KBV Holmes Slice (sample) in a MM Dagner Poker. Left a little cigarette-y afternote that I didn't much care for, but at least it smoked real easy. 7/10

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, House finch, California towhee, Spotted towhee, Golden-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, American crow, California scrub-jay, Northern flicker, Steller's jay, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, and Mountain chickadee.

First big snowstorm of the season is coming. Translation: time for some lat bombs! 😀
