Busy few days. Getting things lined for cataract surgery next tues. I live alone, so rides to and from had to be arranged. I'm cooking up lots of easy fix meals and freezing them. Trying to make everything as smooth as possible. Won't be posting for a while after, as they say not to stress your eyes. No smoke either. But I don't smoke every day anyway. For today however, I am smoking my all time favorite, Shepherd's Pie, in my rusticated Brigham. Good day all.View attachment 283885
Best of luck with the surgery.
Everyone I know who has had it says it’s a game changer.

Currently enjoying “leftovers “.. my last two bowls were EGR and Bobs Chocolate and there was enough leftovers in my drying dish to load my MM Charlestown Cobbler.

The smoke is great and I am in process of grilling some home grown steaks on a simple old charcoal grill. Enjoining a Pilsner beer or two as well.

Peace to all and best to you @Carol with your upcoming surgery.

I just picked up a couple of ounces of this on my last order. I was thinking about letting sit and get a little age on it? Have you smoked this blend both fresh and with some age on it? Advice?
The oldest I've smoked was with about 8 months of age and it was delicious. It's great fresh as well. I just dry and pack relatively loose. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I think I’m going to try some fresh to get a feel for the blend and put some up to age. That way if I like it fresh, I can order a few more ounces to put in the cellar. Have an awesome day.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

Currently, I have a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Best to you Carol, I know a couple of folks who benefited greatly from the surgery!

Best wishes. It’s a fairly minor procedure. I’ve had it done twice. You should be fine within a day or two.
